Our Grand Opening

On Saturday, October 29th, we hosted the Gotamago Studio-Shop Grand Opening with smashing success. We want to say a big thank-you to everyone who attended and made the day fabulous. We hope you had as much fun as we did!

We saw a steady stream of people throughout the day, old friends and new. Our mini market was in full swing with our fantastic vendors set up indoors, and with Beast York's festive tent out back.

Our own Operations Manager Melody baked up a delicious storm for the Grand Opening. Check out her Gotamago logo cupcakes - vegan no less! They were as big a hit as the catering from East of York.

Guests were encouraged to bring their canine friends, and we were distracted by cute pooches all day. The Otter Potter's Potter-In-Chief, Leora, brought her own adorable dog, Jazzy, who calmly stayed under her table throughout the whole event. We loved Leora's newest creation, a ceramic dog bowl!

Gotamago goods were set up by the front of the store right beside MUNC. Here's a shot of a quieter moment.

Sprouts Press was right behind us opposite those yummy cupcakes. If you didn't get enough of Carolyn's beautiful hand-bound books, we will both be at the One Of A Kind show starting November 24th!

The Paper Plus Cloth workshop took place later in the afternoon, under Rowena's wonderful instruction. The participants got to take home their very own washi art creations, as well as a little sample pack of product after the workshop ended.

It was a fun-filled day and we couldn't have asked for a more wonderful initiation into the East York community. Thank you for coming to celebrate with us, and we hope to see you back in the studio-shop soon!
